Nara-Nārāyaṇa–Nārada Discourse on Vision, Elements, and Entry into Vāsudeva
The verse underscores renunciation and spiritual single-mindedness: Śukadeva, already established in higher realization, moves beyond familial attachment and proceeds toward a sacred, perfected realm (Kailāsa attended by Siddhas), symbolizing the aspirant’s orientation toward liberation (mokṣa) and the company of the spiritually accomplished.
Nārada narrates that Śukadeva leaves his father behind and travels to the great summit of Mount Kailāsa, where Siddhas attend. The closing colophon then marks the end of the chapter in the Śānti Parva’s Mokṣa-dharma section, identified as the episode concerning Śuka’s approach/meeting.
