इति श्रीमहाभारते शान्तिपर्वणि मोक्षधर्मपर्वणि शुकोत्पत्तौ षड्विंशत्यधिकत्रिशततमो<ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi śukotpattau ṣaḍviṃśatyadhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
Demikianlah, dalam Śrī Mahābhārata, di dalam Śānti Parva—khususnya bahagian Mokṣa-dharma—berakhirlah bab mengenai asal-usul (riwayat kelahiran) Śuka, iaitu bab yang ke-326. Ini ialah kolofon yang menandai penutupan wacana serta menempatkannya dalam rangka ajaran Mokṣa-dharma yang menekankan dharma dan pembebasan.
