Śuka’s Manifestation from the Araṇi (Āraṇeya-janma) — शुकजन्म (आरणेय-सम्भव)
इहैव परिवर्तन्ते तिर्यग्योनिप्रवेशिन: । त्रीणि कल्पसहस्राणि एतेषामहरुच्यते
ihaiva parivartante tiryagyonipraveśinaḥ | trīṇi kalpasahasrāṇi eteṣām ahar ucyate ||
Mereka yang telah memasuki rahim binatang terus berputar di sini juga, berulang-ulang. Bagi makhluk demikian, dikatakan bahawa satu ‘hari’ bersamaan tiga ribu kalpa—suatu gambaran untuk menyatakan betapa luas dan menindasnya tempoh belenggu mereka serta beratnya harga etika apabila jatuh ke keadaan kewujudan yang lebih rendah daripada manusia.
