Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
bhavān prasādaṁ kurutāt svagatiśāya me prabho |
The verse highlights humility and dharmic propriety: even a revered sage seeks grace and explicit permission from a higher authority before proceeding, emphasizing respectful conduct and orderly transition in one’s duties.
After offering obeisance, Nārada addresses the Lord (here framed as Śrī Kṛṣṇa speaking in the section) and requests favor—specifically, authorization to depart and go to Svarga, indicating a formal leave-taking within the dialogue.
