सहसा घातयामास देवदेव: पिनाकधृक् । तदनन्तर सम्पूर्ण योगेश्वरोंके भी ईश्वर महातेजस्वी देवाधिदेव पिनाकधारी शिवने योगबलका आश्रय ले अपने भयानक सेवकोंद्वारा उस यज्ञको सहसा नष्ट करा दिया ॥। ३२ हे || केचिन्नादानमुज्चन्त केचिद्धासांश्व॒ चक्रिरे
kecin nādānam uñjanti kecid dhāsāṃś ca cakrire
Bhishma berkata: Ada yang menjerit kuat, ada pula yang tergesa-gesa mengatur jalan untuk melarikan diri dan bersembunyi. Dalam kehancuran mendadak upacara korban itu, perhimpunan pun dilanda panik—suara-suara naik bercampur-baur, dan orang bertindak kerana takut, bukan kerana keteguhan jiwa.
