Livelihood, Virtuous Association, and Ethics of Giving
अनेन ते महाभाग प्रतिषेधेन भागत: । अतीव दु:खमुत्पन्नं वेपथुश्न ममानघ,उमाने कहा--भगवन्! आप समस्त प्राणियोंमें सबसे अधिक प्रभावशाली, गुणवान्, अजेय, अधृष्य, तेजस्वी, यशस्वी तथा श्रीसम्पन्न हैं। महाभाग! यज्ञमें जो इस प्रकार आपको भाग देनेका निषेध किया गया है, इससे मुझे बड़ा दुःख हुआ है। अनघ! इस अपमानसे मेरा सारा शरीर काँप रहा है
anena te mahābhāga pratiṣedhena bhāgataḥ | atīva duḥkham utpannaṃ vepathuś ca mamānagha ||
Maheśvara berkata: “Wahai yang amat beruntung, oleh penolakan untuk memperuntukkan bahagian yang sepatutnya bagimu, aku telah dilanda dukacita yang amat sangat. Wahai yang tanpa cela, seluruh tubuhku menggigil kerana penghinaan ini.”
