चिरकारि-उपाख्यानम् / The Exemplum of Cirakārī: Deliberation Before Irreversible Action
सत्यस्य वचन साधु न सत्याद् विद्यते परम् सत्येन विधुृतं सर्व सर्व सत्ये प्रतेछ्ठितम्,सत्य बोलना शुभ कर्म है। सत्यसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई कार्य नहीं है। सत्यने ही सबको धारण कर रखा है और सत्यमें ही सब कुछ प्रतिष्ठित है
bhīṣma uvāca | satyasya vacanaṃ sādhu na satyād vidyate param | satyena vidhṛtaṃ sarvaṃ sarvaṃ satye pratiṣṭhitam ||
Bhishma bersabda: Mengucapkan kebenaran ialah perbuatan mulia; tiada yang lebih tinggi daripada kebenaran. Dengan kebenaran segala sesuatu ditegakkan, dan dalam kebenaran segala-galanya berasas kukuh. Dalam ajaran dharma ini, Bhishma menegaskan bahawa kejujuran bukan sekadar kebajikan peribadi, tetapi prinsip yang menopang tertib moral dunia.
