न हायं चक्षुषा दृश्यो न च सर्वैरपीन्द्रियै: । मनसा तु प्रदीपेन महानात्मा प्रकाशते,इस परमात्माका नेत्रों अथवा सम्पूर्ण इन्द्रियोंसे भी दर्शन नहीं हो सकता। यह विशुद्ध मनरूपी दीपकसे ही बुद्धिमें प्रकाशित होता है

na hāyaṃ cakṣuṣā dṛśyo na ca sarvair apīndriyaiḥ | manasā tu pradīpena mahānātmā prakāśate ||

Vyāsa mengajar bahawa Diri Tertinggi tidak dapat dicapai oleh mata, mahupun oleh keseluruhan pancaindera. Ia hanya menjadi nyata dalam intelek apabila minda disucikan dan dijadikan bercahaya—seperti pelita—maka kejernihan batin, bukan persepsi luaran, menyingkap hakikat tertinggi.
