Vyāsa berkata: Dengan iman, hendaklah seseorang sentiasa beribadat melalui lima korban suci yang tetap. Hendaklah dia teguh dan berjaga-jaga, menahan diri, mengetahui dharma, dan menguasai fikirannya sendiri—lalu memuliakan Yang Maha Tinggi melalui disiplin kewajipan harian, bukan melalui kelalaian atau dorongan nafsu.
व्यास उवाच
Faithful performance of the five daily great sacrifices, combined with steadiness, vigilance (non-negligence), restraint of the senses, knowledge of dharma, and mastery of the mind—this is presented as the proper way to live and to worship the Supreme through everyday righteous conduct.
In Śānti Parva’s instruction on dharma and right living, Vyāsa delivers a prescriptive guideline for household and ethical life: worship is not only ritual but sustained daily duty, requiring inner discipline and alertness against negligence.
