Adhyāya 2: Nārada’s Disclosure—Karṇa’s Training and the Brahmin’s Curse (Śānti-parva)

स तु राममुपागम्य शिरसाभिप्रणम्य च । ब्राह्मणो भार्गवो5स्मीति गौरवेणाभ्यगच्छत

sa tu rāmam upāgamya śirasābhipraṇamya ca | brāhmaṇo bhārgavo 'smīti gauraveṇābhyagacchata ||

Dia mendekati Rāma (Paraśurāma), menundukkan kepala dengan penuh hormat lalu bersujud. Kemudian, sambil menyatakan, “Aku seorang brāhmaṇa Bhārgava,” dia memohon perlindungan baginda dengan sikap seorang murid yang setia. Adegan ini menegaskan nilai etika tentang kerendahan hati, pengenalan diri yang benar dan jujur, serta kewajipan memuliakan guru yang dihormati.
