निर्वेदोपदेशः (Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking

ततः स प्राद्रवद्‌ विप्रो विस्‍स्मयाद्‌ विगतक्लम: । गौतम: परमर्धि तां पश्चन्‌ परमविस्मित:,बुलावा सुनते ही गौतमकी थकावट दूर हो गयी। वह विस्मित होकर दौड़ पड़ा। राक्षसराजकी उस महा-समृद्धिको देखकर उसे बड़ा आश्चर्य होता था

tataḥ sa prādravad vipro vismayād vigataklamaḥ | gautamaḥ paramarddhitāṁ paśyan paramavismitaḥ ||

Kemudian brahmana Gautama berlari ke hadapan; kerana kehairanan, lenyaplah segala letihnya. Melihat kemakmuran dan gemerlap yang luar biasa itu, dia semakin terperanjat—hatinya tertarik oleh sesuatu yang melampaui kebiasaan.
