कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च
The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion
कृतबुद्धि्द्रूमे तस्मिन् वस्तुं तां रजनी ततः । साञ्जलि: प्रणतिं कृत्वा वाक्यमाह वनस्पतिम्
kṛtabuddhidrūme tasmin vastuṃ tāṃ rajanī tataḥ | sāñjaliḥ praṇatiṃ kṛtvā vākyam āha vanaspatim ||
Kemudian, dengan tekad untuk bermalam di situ, dia mendekati pohon itu—yang digambarkan sebagai “pohon berakal budi yang teguh”. Dengan tangan dirapatkan penuh hormat dan setelah menunduk memberi sembah, dia menyampaikan kata-kata sopan kepada sang penguasa rimba itu.
भीष्म उवाच
