Śaraṇāgata-Atithi-Dharma in the Kapota Narrative (कपोत-आख्यानम्—शरणागतधर्मः)

ततोडग्निमुपसंहृत्य ब्राह्ेण विधिना मुनि: । ऐन्द्राग्नेयेन विधिना चरुं श्रपयत स्वयम्‌,ऐसा सोचकर मुनिने वेदोक्त विधिसे अग्निकी स्थापना करके इन्द्र और अग्निदेवताके उद्देश्यसे स्वयं ही चरु पकाकर तैयार किया

tato 'gnim upasaṁhṛtya brāhmeṇa vidhinā muniḥ | aindrāgneyeṇa vidhinā caruṁ śrapayat svayam ||

Setelah berfikir demikian, sang muni pun menyusun dan menyempurnakan upacara api menurut tatacara Brahman yang diajarkan dalam Veda. Lalu dengan tangannya sendiri ia memasak bubur korban (caru) menurut kaedah ritual yang ditetapkan bagi Indra dan Agni.
