Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca

कि सौम्य नातित्वरसे कि कृतार्थोडवमन्यसे । छिन्धि पाशानमित्रघ्न पुरा श्वपच एति च,'सौम्य! तुम जल्दी क्‍यों नहीं करते हो? क्या तुम्हारा काम बन गया, इसलिये मेरी अवहेलना करते हो? शत्रुसूदन! देखो, अब चाण्डाल आ रहा होगा। उसके आनेसे पहले ही मेरे बन्धनोंको काट दो”

ki saumya nātitvarase ki kṛtārtho ’vamanyase | chindhi pāśān amitraghna purā śvapaca eti ca ||

“Wahai sahabat yang lembut budi, mengapa engkau tidak bersegera? Adakah kerana maksudmu sudah tercapai lalu engkau memandang rendah aku? Wahai pembinasa musuh, putuskan ikatan ini segera—sebelum śvapaca (orang hina, pemakan anjing) itu tiba.”
