सत्कृतो<हं त्वया मित्र सामर्थ्यादात्मन: सखे | स मां मित्रत्वमापन्नमुपभोक्तुं त्वमहसि,“सखे! मित्र! तुमने अपनी शक्तिके अनुसार मेरा पूरा सत्कार किया है और मैं भी तुम्हारा मित्र हो गया हूँ; अतः तुम्हें मेरे साथ रहकर इस मित्रताका सुख भोगना चाहिये
satkṛto ’haṃ tvayā mitra sāmarthyād ātmanaḥ sakhe | sa māṃ mitratvam āpannam upabhoktuṃ tvam arhasi ||
Bhishma berkata: “Wahai sahabat, teman seperjalanan yang dikasihi, engkau telah memuliakan aku sepenuh kemampuanmu. Aku juga telah menerima ikatan persahabatan denganmu; maka sewajarnya engkau tinggal bersamaku dan turut menikmati kebahagiaan serta keistimewaan yang lahir daripada persahabatan ini.”
