अकृत्वा संविदं काज्चित्‌ सहसा समवपष्लुत: । कृतज्ञं कृतकर्माणं कच्चिन्मां नाभिशंकसे

Transliteration

akṛtvā saṁvidaṁ kāñcit sahasā samavapluṭaḥ | kṛtajñaṁ kṛtakarmāṇaṁ kaccin māṁ nābhiśaṅkase ||

Translation

Bhīṣma berkata: “Saudaraku! Tanpa sebarang persetujuan terlebih dahulu, bahkan tanpa sepatah kata pun, mengapa engkau tiba-tiba menyusup masuk ke dalam lubang ini? Aku berterima kasih kepadamu; dengan melindungi nyawamu, aku juga telah menunaikan jasa besar untukmu. Engkau tidak menyimpan syak terhadapku, bukan?”
