Āpad-dharma and Discernment in Livelihood (आपद्धर्मे विज्ञानबलम्)
सतं विदित्वा ब्रद्मर्षियममागतमोजसा । प्राउजलि: प्रयतो भूत्वा उपविष्टस्तपोधन:,ब्रह्मर्षि गौतमने वहाँ आये हुए यमराजको उनके तेजसे ही जान लिया। फिर वे तपोधन मुनि हाथ जोड़ संयतचित्त हो उनके पास जा बैठे
sataṁ viditvā brahmarṣiyamam āgatam ojasā | prāñjaliḥ prayato bhūtvā upaviṣṭas tapodhanaḥ ||
Brahmarṣi Gautama mengenali, melalui sinar wibawa yang terpancar, bahawa tetamu itu ialah Yama yang datang. Lalu sang muni yang kaya dengan tapa itu menahan diri, merapatkan kedua telapak tangan sebagai sembah, dan duduk dekat baginda.
