Gautama–Yama Saṃvāda: Mātṛ-Pitṛ-Ṛṇa (Debt to Parents) and Śubha-Loka Attainment
भवन्त: सुमहाभागास्तस्मात् पृच्छामि संशयम् । आशावान् पुरुषो यः स्यादन्तरिक्षमथापि वा
bhavantaḥ sumahābhāgās tasmāt pṛcchāmi saṁśayam | āśāvān puruṣo yaḥ syād antarīkṣam athāpi vā |
Bhīṣma berkata: “Kamu semua sungguh mulia dan bertuah; maka aku bertanya untuk meleraikan keraguanku. Jika di satu pihak ada seorang lelaki yang ditopang oleh harapan, dan di pihak lain ada langit yang tiada bertepi—pada timbangan kebesaran dunia, yang manakah tampak lebih besar pada pandanganmu? Aku ingin mendengar kebenarannya. Sesudah datang ke sini, apakah lagi yang sukar diperoleh?”
