ज्ञातिबन्धुजनावेक्षी मित्रसम्बन्धिसंवृत: । पौरकार्यहितान्वेषी भव कौरवनन्दन

Transliteration

jñātibandhujanāvekṣī mitrasambandhisaṁvṛtaḥ | paurakāryahitānveṣī bhava kauravanandana ||

Translation

Bhīṣma berkata: “Wahai kebanggaan keturunan Kuru, jadilah orang yang memerhati dan memelihara kaum kerabat, saudara-mara serta mereka yang bergantung; tetaplah dikelilingi dan disokong oleh sahabat dan hubungan kekeluargaan; dan sentiasalah mencari jalan untuk menyempurnakan urusan serta kebajikan penduduk kota.”
