Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57

समागम्य ततो भूयो भ्रातरौ बलिनां वरौ । अन्योन्यस्यान्तरप्रेप्सू प्रचक्राते$न्तरं प्रति,बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ उन दोनों भाइयोंमें जब पुनः भिड़न्त हुई तो दोनों ही दोनोंके चूकनेका अवसर देखते हुए पैंतरे बदलने लगे

samāgamya tato bhūyo bhrātarau balināṃ varau | anyonyasyāntaraprepsū pracakrāte 'ntaraṃ prati ||

Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian kedua-dua saudara itu—yang terunggul dalam kalangan yang perkasa—bertemu lagi dalam pertempuran. Masing-masing berniat mencari celah pada lawannya, lalu mereka beralih langkah dan berpusing, menanti sela yang rapuh untuk melancarkan pukulan pemutus.
