प्रजापतिसुतेनाथ भूगुणा लोकभावन: । अतिकाय: स तेजस्वी लोकसारो विनिर्मित:,ब्रह्माजीके पुत्र महर्षि भृगुने तीव्र तपस्यासे भरे हुए लोकमंगलकारी विशालकाय एवं तेजस्वी दधीचको उत्पन्न किया था। ऐसा जान पड़ता था, मानो सम्पूर्ण जगत्के सारतत्त्वसे उनका निर्माण किया गया हो
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
prajāpatisutena atha bhṛguṇā lokabhāvanaḥ |
atikāyaḥ sa tejasvī lokasāro vinirmitaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Kemudian resi Bhṛgu, putera Prajāpati, melahirkan Dadhīca—penyantun segala dunia—bertubuh besar dan bersinar dengan daya. Dia tampak seolah-olah dibentuk daripada inti sari alam semesta, terhasil daripada kekuatan tapa yang hebat demi kesejahteraan semua.
