Balarāma’s Pilgrimage Context
सलोकतामनुप्राप्तमपश्यत ततोडसित: । तत्पश्चात् असितने मित्र, वरुण और आदित्योंके लोकोंमें पहुँचे हुए जैगीषव्यको देखा
Sa lokatām anuprāptam apaśyat tato 'sitaḥ | tatpaścād asitena mitra-varuṇa-ādityānāṁ lokeṣu prāptam Jaigīṣavyam dadarśa |
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Kemudian Asita melihatnya sebagai seorang yang telah mencapai alam itu. Sesudah itu, Asita melihat Jaigīṣavya yang telah sampai ke alam samawi Mitra, Varuṇa dan para Āditya—menandakan kenaikan sang resi, melalui pahala dan disiplin laku, ke dalam lingkungan ketuhanan yang kian tinggi.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The passage underscores that disciplined, dharma-aligned conduct and accumulated merit are portrayed as leading to higher posthumous states—symbolized by access to the realms of deities who embody cosmic and moral order (Mitra, Varuṇa, the Ādityas).
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the sage Asita has a vision/encounter in which he sees Jaigīṣavya as one who has attained exalted heavenly worlds, specifically the realms associated with Mitra, Varuṇa, and the Ādityas.
