Asita Devala Observes Jaigīṣavya’s Yogic Attainment and Chooses Mokṣa-dharma (देवल-जैगीषव्योपाख्यानम्)
तत्रापि लाड़ली देव ऋषीनभ्यर्च्य पूजया । इतरेभ्योडप्यदाद् दानमर्थिभ्य: कामदो विभु:,सबकी इच्छा पूर्ण करनेवाले भगवान् हलधरने उस तीर्थमें भी स्नान एवं ऋषियोंका पूजन करके अन्य याचकोंको भी धन दान किया
tatrāpi lāḍalī deva ṛṣīn abhyarcya pūjayā | itarebhyo 'py adād dānam arthibhyaḥ kāmado vibhuḥ ||
Di sana juga, Tuhan yang bersifat ilahi—pemenuh segala hasrat—setelah mandi di tirtha yang suci itu dan memuliakan para resi dengan pemujaan penuh hormat, turut mengurniakan sedekah harta kepada para pemohon yang lain.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse presents dharmic conduct: one should honor sages and sacred places through worship, and practice generosity by giving to those who seek help—linking devotion with social responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Balarāma, while visiting a tīrtha, bathes there, worships the assembled sages, and then distributes wealth as charity to other petitioners as well.
