वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights divine grace aligned with dharma: the deity invites the virtuous devotee to articulate her heartfelt wish, suggesting that boons are granted through compassionate recognition of sincere, righteous inner intent rather than through force or bargaining.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Śaṅkara again speaks to Arundhatī and asks her to choose a boon—whatever she truly desires in her heart—signaling a pivotal moment where her inner aspiration is about to be formally granted.
