कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
हन्त ते कथयिष्यामि शृण्वानस्य नराधिप । अभिषेकं कुमारस्य प्रभावं च महात्मन:,नरेश्वर! तुम ध्यान देकर सुन रहे हो, इसलिये मैं तुमसे प्रसन्नतापूर्वक महात्मा कुमार कार्तिकेयके अभिषेक और प्रभावका वर्णन करता हूँ
hanta te kathayiṣyāmi śṛṇvānasya narādhipa | abhiṣekaṃ kumārasya prabhāvaṃ ca mahātmanaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Baiklah—kerana engkau mendengar dengan penuh perhatian, wahai raja—aku akan menceritakan dengan niat baik tentang upacara abhiṣeka (penahbisan/penyiraman suci) bagi Kumāra (Kārttikeya), sang pemuda ilahi, serta tentang kuasa dan kemuliaan luar biasa insan agung itu.”
