कार्त्तिकेयाभिषेकः — Consecration of Kārttikeya and the Enumeration of His Retinue
यतो रुद्रस्ततः स्कन्दो जगामाद्भुतदर्शन: । विशाखस्तु ययौ येन देवी गिरिवरात्मजा
yato rudras tataḥ skando jagāmādbhuta-darśanaḥ | viśākhas tu yayau yena devī girivarātmajā ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Ke arah tempat Rudra pergi, Skanda yang berwajah menakjubkan turut melangkah. Dan Viśākha pula menempuh jalan yang sama seperti yang dilalui sang dewi, puteri yang lahir dari gunung.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights alignment with divine precedence: Skanda follows Rudra, and Viśākha follows the route taken by the goddess. Ethically, it suggests that right action often means moving in harmony with a higher, established order rather than acting independently or impulsively.
Vaiśampāyana narrates the movement of divine figures: Skanda departs in the direction Rudra has gone, and Viśākha departs along the same path taken by the goddess described as the mountain-born daughter (Pārvatī).
