Kapālamocana-tīrtha (Auśanasa) and Balarāma’s Sarasvatī Pilgrimage

ततो देवो मुनि दृष्टवा हर्षाविष्टमतीव ह । सुराणां हितकामार्थ महादेवो5भ्यभाषत,मुनिको हर्षके आवेशसे अत्यन्त मतवाला हुआ देख महादेवजीने (ब्राह्मणका रूप धारण करके) देवताओंके हितके लिये उनसे इस प्रकार कहा--

tato devo munir dṛṣṭvā harṣāviṣṭam atīva ha | surāṇāṁ hitakāmārthaṁ mahādevo 'bhyabhāṣata ||

Maka Mahādeva, melihat resi ilahi itu dikuasai kegembiraan yang amat meluap, pun bertitah kepadanya demi kebajikan para dewa—berkata dengan niat menegakkan apa yang membawa manfaat bagi golongan deva.
