Trita in the Well (Udapāna-kathā) — Balarāma’s Tīrtha Observances
अमावास्यां महातेजास्तत्रोन्मज्जन् महाद्युति: | लोकान् प्रभासयामास शीतांशुत्वमवाप च
amāvāsyāṃ mahātejās tatrōnmajjan mahādyutiḥ | lokān prabhāsayāmāsa śītāṃśutvam avāpa ca ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Pada malam amāvāsyā (bulan baharu), yang berteja besar dan bercahaya itu menyelam mandi di tirtha tersebut. Dengan perbuatan itu, baginda memperoleh sifat sinar yang sejuk dan menenteramkan, lalu mula menerangi segala alam—kemilau dan keindahannya pun terserlah kembali.
