भीमसेनस्य कौरवसुतवधः तथा श्रुतर्वावधः
Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā
विचुक्रुशुः पितृंस्त्वन्ये सहायानपरे पुनः । बान्धवांश्व नरव्याप्र भ्रातृन् सम्बन्धिनस्तथा
vicukruśuḥ pitṝṁs tv anye sahāyān apare punaḥ | bāndhavāṁś ca naravyāghra bhrātṝn sambandhinas tathā ||
Sañjaya berkata: Ada yang menjerit memanggil bapa mereka, ada yang memanggil sahabat seperjuangan. Wahai harimau antara manusia, mereka juga memanggil kaum kerabat—saudara dan sanak-saudara. Dalam kekacauan pertempuran, ramai yang meninggalkan orang sendiri di tempat mereka rebah lalu melarikan diri; dan ramai maharathi, parah dilukai oleh panah Pārtha (Arjuna), jatuh pengsan.
