Chapter 23: Śakuni Reports, Kaurava Advance, and Arjuna’s Penetration of the Host
अनीकं दशसाहस्रमश्चानां भरतर्षभ । आसीद् गान्धारराजस्य विशालप्रासयोधिनाम्
anīkaṁ daśasāhasram aśvānāṁ bharatarṣabha | āsīd gāndhārarājasya viśālaprāsayodhinām ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai banteng di antara kaum Bharata, raja Gandhāra memiliki pasukan berkuda seramai sepuluh ribu—para pejuang yang menghunus lembing panjang lagi besar. Dengan membawa kontingen itu, dia bergerak ke bahagian belakang bala tentera Pāṇḍava dalam pertempuran yang memusnahkan manusia itu, lalu mereka bersama-sama menghujani pasukan tersebut dengan anak panah yang tajam.”
