धृतराष्ट्रविलापः — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament and Inquiry (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 2)
असकृद्धदतस्तस्य दुर्योधनवधेन च
asakṛddattas tasya duryodhana-vadhena ca
Dhṛtarāṣṭra berkata: “Berkali-kali, kerana hal itu—dan juga kerana Duryodhana telah dibunuh—hatiku dihentam semula dan semula oleh dukacita serta kegelisahan.”
धघतयाट्र उवाच
Unchecked attachment and partiality in leadership culminate in recurring sorrow: when adharma is protected and wise counsel ignored, the consequences return repeatedly, especially in the form of irreversible loss.
Dhṛtarāṣṭra reflects on the calamities that have befallen him; the death of his son Duryodhana becomes a central cause of renewed grief, intensifying his lament in the aftermath of the war.
