Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
नैतादृशं दृष्टपूर्व राजन् नैव च न श्रुतम्
naitādṛśaṃ dṛṣṭapūrva rājann naiva ca na śrutam
Sanjaya berkata: Wahai Raja, belum pernah terlihat sesuatu seperti ini, dan tidak pula pernah didengar. Saat ini digambarkan sebagai sesuatu yang belum pernah terjadi—suatu kejutan etika dalam kisah perang—apabila norma-norma lazim pertempuran dan tingkah laku manusia seakan-akan dilampaui atau diterbalikkan.
