अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्

Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report

धिगस्तु कृतवर्माणं मां कृपं च महारथम्‌

dhig astu kṛtavarmāṇaṁ māṁ kṛpaṁ ca mahāratham

Sañjaya berkata: “Malulah Kṛtavarmā—dan aku juga—dan Kṛpa, sang maharathi itu.” Dalam detik penolakan nurani ini, si penutur mengecam para pelaku (termasuk dirinya) atas perbuatan yang dipandang hina menurut dharma kesatria, suatu penghakiman etika yang tajam di tengah sisa-sisa keganasan malam.
