Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament and Kṛṣṇa’s Rudra-Cosmogony Explanation (सौप्तिक पर्व, अध्याय १७)
भूतान्यन्वसृजत् सप्त दक्षादींस्तु प्रजापतीन् । यैरिमं व्यकरोत् सर्व भूतग्रामं चतुर्विधम्
bhūtāny anvasṛjat sapta dakṣādīṁs tu prajāpātīn | yair imaṁ vyakarot sarva-bhūta-grāmaṁ catur-vidham ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Kemudian dia melahirkan tujuh golongan makhluk, dan juga para Prajāpati bermula dengan Dakṣa. Melalui mereka, dia mengembangkan seluruh himpunan makhluk ini dalam pembahagian empat serangkai.
