Educational Q&A

The verse presents an idealized royal space where sensory pleasures—fragrance, sound, and garlands—are portrayed as pure and auspicious, suggesting that true prosperity is associated with merit (puṇya), order, and refined, non-degrading enjoyment.

Nārada is describing the extraordinary qualities of a splendid assembly hall to Pārtha (Arjuna), emphasizing that within it, delightful fragrances, pleasing sounds, and divine garlands are constantly present on all sides.
