Bhima berkata: “Dengan kening berkerut rapat, wajahnya menjadi begitu menggerunkan hingga sukar dipandang—seperti Maut sendiri menjelma tatkala tibanya akhir suatu zaman.”

The verse highlights how uncontrolled anger and intimidation can make a person appear like ‘Death’ itself, underscoring the ethical warning that power in a royal court must be governed by restraint and dharma rather than wrath.
In the tense atmosphere of the Kuru court during the Sabha events, Bhima describes the other person’s frowning, fearsome face as nearly unwatchable—comparing it to embodied Death at the world’s end—thereby intensifying the scene’s moral and political crisis.
