“With hymns and auspicious benedictions, they praised (him); and likewise, through their prescribed acts and services, they continued to honor him.”
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic honor: reverence is expressed not only through speech (hymns and auspicious blessings) but also through conduct (appropriate actions and duties). Ethical respect is complete when words and deeds align.
Narada describes a scene of formal praise and honoring—people (or attendants) are extolling someone with laudatory and auspicious utterances while simultaneously performing fitting services or ritual duties, indicating a ceremonious reception or veneration.
