Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic learning: truth is approached through respectful questioning by the listener and careful, authoritative narration by a qualified teacher in a recognized lineage (Vyāsa → Vaiśampāyana).

After the king’s question, Vaiśampāyana—Vyāsa’s renowned disciple and a knower of Vedic truth—begins to narrate the full account of the events, as introduced by Sauti in the frame narrative.
