Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
दिष्ट्या वर्धसि धर्मज्ञ साम्राज्यं प्राप्तवानसि । आजमीढाजमीढानां यश: संवर्धितं त्वया,“धर्मज्ञ! आपका अभ्युदय हो रहा है, यह बड़े सौभाग्यकी बात है। आपने सम्राट्का पद प्राप्त कर लिया। अजमीढकुलनन्दन राजाधिराज! आपने इस कर्मद्वारा अजमीढवंशी क्षत्रियोंक यशका विस्तार तो किया ही है, महान् धर्मका भी सम्पादन किया है। नरव्याप्र! आपने हमारे लिये सब प्रकारके अभीष्ट पदार्थ सुलभ करके हमारा बड़ा सम्मान किया है। अब हम आपसे जानेकी अनुमति लेना चाहते हैं
dṛṣṭyā vardhasi dharmajña sāmrājyaṃ prāptavān asi | ājamīḍhājamīḍhānāṃ yaśaḥ saṃvardhitaṃ tvayā ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Dengan keberuntungan, engkau kian makmur, wahai yang mengetahui dharma; engkau telah mencapai kedaulatan empayar. Melalui engkau, kemasyhuran keturunan Ājamīḍha telah dipertingkatkan.”
