Adhyāya 33: Antarvedī-Samāgama, Arghya-Nirṇaya, and Śiśupāla’s Objection

सो5हमिच्छामि तत्‌ सर्व विधिवद्‌ देवकीसुत । उपय क्तुं द्विजाग्रयेभ्यो हव्यवाहे च माधव,देवकीनन्दन माधव! वह सारा धन मैं विधिपूर्वक श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणों तथा हव्यवाहन अग्निके उपयोगमें लाना चाहता हूँ

so ’ham icchāmi tat sarvaṃ vidhivad devakīsuta | upayoktuṃ dvijāgrebhyo havyavāhe ca mādhava ||

Yudhiṣṭhira bertitah: “Maka, wahai putera Devakī, wahai Mādhava, aku ingin menggunakan seluruh kekayaan itu menurut tata cara yang ditetapkan—mengurniakannya kepada para dwija (brāhmaṇa) yang utama dan mempersembahkannya ke dalam api suci. Biarlah ia dipakai untuk menegakkan tertib yang benar dan menyucikan apa yang telah diperoleh.”
