जरासंधदह्दे घोरे दुःखपड्के निमज्जताम्‌ | राज्ञां समभ्युद्धरणं यदिदं कृतमद्य वै,'प्रभो! हम सब राजा दुःखरूपी पंकसे युक्त जरासंध-रूपी भयानक कुण्डमें डूब रहे थे, आपने जो आज हमारा यह उद्धार किया है, वह आपके योग्य ही है

jarāsandha-hrade ghore duḥkha-paṅke nimajjatām | rājñāṁ samabhyuddharaṇaṁ yad idaṁ kṛtam adya vai ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Tuanku, kami para raja sedang tenggelam dalam tasik Jarāsandha yang menggerunkan, terbenam dalam lumpur penderitaan. Penyelamatan yang engkau lakukan untuk kami pada hari ini sungguh layak bagi dirimu.”
