अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
तद् वृत्तं तु त्रयोदश्यां समवेतं महात्मनो: । चतुर्दश्यां निशायां तु निवृत्तो मागध: क्लमातू्
tad vṛttaṃ tu trayodaśyāṃ samavetaṃ mahātmanoḥ | caturdaśyāṃ niśāyāṃ tu nivṛtto māgadhaḥ klamāt ||
Demikianlah pertemuan dua pahlawan berhati besar itu berterusan dengan cara yang sama hingga hari ketiga belas bulan purnama. Namun pada malam hari keempat belas, raja Magadha—Jarāsandha—yang letih oleh pengerahan tenaga, mula berundur daripada pertarungan, seolah-olah berpaling dari medan perang kerana kelelahan.
