Jarāsandha-nipātana, rāja-mokṣa, and rājasūya-sāhāyya-prārthanā

Jarāsandha’s fall, liberation of kings, and request for support

तस्य मेडद्य स्थितस्येह स्वधर्मे नियतात्मन: । अनागसं प्रजानां च प्रमादादिव जल्पथ,मैं अपने मनको वशमें रखकर सदा स्वधर्म (क्षत्रियधर्म)-में स्थित रहता हूँ। प्रजाओंका भी कोई अपराध नहीं करता, ऐसी दशामें भी आपलोग प्रमादसे ही मुझे शत्रु या अपराधी बता रहे हैं

tasya medadya sthitasyeha svadharme niyatātmanaḥ | anāgasaṃ prajānāṃ ca pramādād iva jalpatha |

“Di sini aku berdiri hari ini, teguh dalam kewajipanku sendiri, dengan minda yang terdidik. Aku tidak melakukan sebarang kesalahan terhadap rakyat. Namun kamu berkata seolah-olah dalam kelalaian, melabel aku sebagai musuh atau pesalah.”
