Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
ततः सा राक्षसी राजन् विस्मयोत्फुल्ललोचना । न शशाक समुद्वोढुं वज़सारमयं शिशुम्,राजन! यह देखकर राक्षसीके नेत्र आश्वर्यसे खिल उठे। उसे वह शिशु वज्रके सारतत्त्वका बना जान पड़ा। राक्षसी उसे उठाकर ले जानेमें असमर्थ हो गयी
tataḥ sā rākṣasī rājan vismayotphullalocanā | na śaśāka samudvoḍhuṃ vajrasāramayaṃ śiśum |
Kemudian rākṣasī itu, wahai Raja, matanya terbeliak kerana hairan, tidak mampu mengangkat dan membawa bayi itu; kerana anak itu seakan-akan terbentuk daripada inti kekuatan vajra yang sekeras halilintar.
