तत् तस्मै तद् यथावृत्तं वासुदेव: सहार्जुन: । कथयामास कर्णस्य निधन यदुपुड्भवः,उस समय अर्जुनसहित यदुकुलतिलक वसुदेवनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने कर्णके मारे जानेका सारा समाचार उन्हें यथावत्रूपसे कह सुनाया
tat tasmai tad yathāvṛttaṃ vāsudevaḥ sahārjunaḥ | kathayāmāsa karṇasya nidhanaṃ yadu-puṅgavaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian Vāsudeva—Kṛṣṇa, yang utama dalam keturunan Yadu—bersama Arjuna, menceritakan kepadanya dengan tepat sebagaimana berlakunya seluruh peristiwa kematian Karṇa.
