योज्यमाने ततस्तस्मिन् बाणे धनुषि पूजिते । चचाल पृथिवी राजन् सशैलवनकानना,राजन! उस उत्तम बाणको धनुषपर चढ़ाते ही पर्वत, वन और काननोंसहित सारी पृथ्वी डगमगाने लगी
yojyamāne tatastasmīn bāṇe dhanuṣi pūjite | cacāla pṛthivī rājan saśailavanakānanā ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, sebaik sahaja anak panah yang mulia dan dihormati itu dipasang pada busur, seluruh bumi—bersama gunung-ganang, hutan dan rimba—mula bergegar.” Rangkap ini meninggikan bobot moral dan naratif: mempersiapkan senjata berdaya ilahi digambarkan sebagai peristiwa yang mengusik tertib dunia, menandakan beban bencana akibat eskalasi perang.
