tau dṛṣṭvā vismayaṁ jagmuḥ sarvasainyāni māriṣa | trailokyavijaye yattāv indravarocanāv iva ||
Sañjaya berkata: Melihat kedua-duanya berhadapan muka, seluruh bala tentera terperanjat dalam kehairanan, wahai yang mulia—bagaikan Indra dan Bali (putera Varocana), kedua-duanya berusaha menakluk tiga alam. Pemandangan itu seolah-olah pertembungan kuasa penakluk dunia, dan segala pasukan memandang dengan takjub akan kebesaran pertemuan itu.
