अभ्येत्य पुत्रेण तवाभिनन्दित: समेत्य चोवाच कुरुप्रवीरम् । कृपं च भोजं च महाभुजावुभौ तथैव गान्धारपतिं सहानुजम्
abhyetya putreṇa tavābhinanditaḥ sametya covāca kurupravīram | kṛpaṃ ca bhojaṃ ca mahābhujāv ubhau tathaiva gāndhārapatiṃ sahānujam ||
Setelah mendekat dan disambut oleh puteramu, dia pun mara ke hadapan lalu berbicara kepada pahlawan Kuru itu. Dia juga berkata-kata kepada Kṛpa dan Bhoja—kedua-duanya berlengan gagah—dan demikian juga kepada raja Gāndhāra bersama adiknya.

Karna, after being welcomed by Duryodhana, proceeds to address the principal Kuru leader and then speaks to senior figures on the Kaurava side—Kṛpa, Bhoja, and Śakuni with his younger brother—signaling consultation and alignment before the next phase of battle.
