त्वया नाथेन गोविन्द ध्रुव एव जयो मम । प्रसन्नो यस्य मेडद्य त्वं लोके भूतभविष्यकृत्,“गोविन्द! जब आप मेरे स्वामी और संरक्षक हैं, तब युद्धमें मेरी विजय निश्चित ही है। संसारके भूत और भविष्यका निर्माण करनेवाले आप ही हैं। जिसके ऊपर आप प्रसन्न हैं, उसकी (अर्थात् मेरी) विजयमें आज क्या संदेह है
tvayā nāthena govinda dhruva eva jayo mama | prasanno yasya medadya tvaṁ loke bhūtabhaviṣyakṛt ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Govinda, apabila Engkau menjadi tuanku dan pelindungku, maka kemenanganku dalam perang pasti teguh. Engkaulah pembentuk segala yang telah ada dan yang akan ada di dunia ini. Jika Engkau berkenan kepada seseorang—yakni kepadaku pada hari ini—apakah lagi keraguan tentang kemenangan?”
