Sañjaya berkata: Para pahlawan, mara melalui lorong-lorong kereta perang, mengepung Karṇa dari segenap arah—Karṇa, insan terunggul, menyala dengan amarah dan menghiasi medan laga ketika menurunkan hujan anak panah bertubi-tubi.

The verse highlights a recurring epic ethic: unchecked wrath and conspicuous dominance in battle invite collective resistance. Martial excellence is admired, yet it also concentrates opposition, testing a warrior’s steadiness, judgment, and adherence to kṣatriya-dharma under pressure.
Sañjaya narrates that multiple warriors converge via the chariot-paths and encircle Karṇa, who is angrily releasing torrents of arrows and standing out as a brilliant figure on the battlefield.
